This two-day course is a structured, multisensory, and manipulative-based program that imparts practical ideas for implementing instruction to educators and parents who wish to work with underachieving students in math.

It is a hands-on, interactive, instructional approach that focuses on teaching the basic operations of mathematics – addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions - in a different way. Using a developmental process that provides learning experiences which move from the concrete to representational to abstract, participants will acquire the skills needed to teach students from kindergarten to secondary levels.

The overriding principle of OG Math is “imagination, not rote memorization” which supports greater conceptual and visual understanding of mathematics. Come and experience the power of OG Math!

OG Math: A multisensory mathematics approach…

• encourages students to consciously "think" through processes which might be quite automatic for most children.
• allows the student to experience touching, moving and building math concepts with concrete materials while seeing, explaining and hearing how math problems can be solved.
